Metropolitan Workshop started working with Poplar HARCA in 2004 on proposals for the regeneration of this LBTH estate located in Bromley by Bow.
Through a series of Resident Consultations, workshops with the estate’s Steering Group and collaboration with Poplar HARCA and BWA a part-refurbishment and part-redevelopment scheme was favored.
A new build block of 42 residential units with retail units at ground floor is proposed to the north of the site. A smaller new build block is proposed to the south of the site consisting of 12 residential units for existing estate residents.
Existing residential units will be refurbished to a decent homes standard and the existing central courtyard to the estate will be landscaped to provide play areas, resident’s parking and green open space.
